Choosing “No” will abort the backup and also the installation.

Choosing “Yes” will proceed to create the registry backup file

“ReRiteRegistrySettings.reg”.

2. Run Upgrade Tool

a. A separate tool named UpgradeTool.exe, found in the installer’s Utilities

folder, is used to convert the settings of the old e-BRIDGE Re-Rite installation

into a format compatible to v8.1.0.

b. If the Upgrade Tool failed to migrate the configurations of the previous

installation (e.g. missing registry entries, folder name collision), the installer will

display a confirmation message:

• Clicking YES will proceed with the installation. If no configuration files

have been migrated, the installer will install only the default

Configuration files (Fileln.fpr, Batchln.bpr and Emailln.epr) and the

Setting file called ReRite.ini.

• Clicking No will abort installation. User needs to manually delete the ‘e-

BRIDGE Re-Rite’ and ‘Temp’ folder created in

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data (for XP and 2003) or

%ALLUSERSPROFILE% (for Vista and Up) before attempting to re-run

the installer.

3. Uninstall old version of e-BRIDGE Re-Rite (including Patches)

4. Install e-BRIDGE Re-Rite v8.1.0

a. Backup of the registry and Whitelist.txt are automatically restored. Both backup

are deleted after successful restoration.

b. No reboot required after upgrade installation.
