MetaScan Configuration
The MetaScan Template or Enhanced Scan Template (EST) functionality is a new feature of the
Toshiba MFP. It allows an administrator to configure an MFP so that at the time of scanning a
user can enter some additional data about the document that they are scanning. This data is
entered into a form that the administrator has previously configured. The form can contain up to
25 fields, and it currently supports Text, Numeric, Decimal and Droplist field types. When a user
scans with an EST profile the MFP generates an XML file with the data that the user typed in
and sends that XML file with the image file. That XML file can then be used by subsequent
processes to further process the image file with the additional information contained in the XML
file.
NOTE: Field name parsing is case sensitive.
Defining the fields
This section defines the fields that will be required in the XML file generated by the MFP when
using a metascan template to scan to e-BRIDGE Re-Rite. The XML file provided by the MFP
will have a number of fields defined :

Here is the list of the required item names. The following items will always be expected in the
XML file:

specify specific settings for the PDF format

How to split the converted document (either split by page or
