6.15 Adjustment of the Saddle Stitch Finisher
6.15.1 Adjusting the Alignment Position
Perform this adjustment after replacing the Finisher control board or when the alignment position must
be changed for some reason.
Adjustment must be performed with 2 types of adjustment sheets for the A4 and LT series.
The adjustment value of A4 will be applied to the operation with A3, A4, A4-R, B4, B5, FOLIO, 8K, 16K.
The adjustment value of LT will be applied to the operation with LD, LG, LT, LT-R, COMP, 13 LG, 8.5”
SQ.
(1) Turn OFF the power of the equipment.
(2) Remove 2 screws and take off the board access cover.
(3) Set the SW1 on the Finisher control board as shown in the figures below.
Adjusting for A4 size paper:
Turn ON pin 2 and 4.
Adjusting for LT size paper:
Turn ON pin 1, 2, and 4.

(4) Turn ON the power of the equipment while [FUNCTION CLEAR] button and [START] button are
pressed simultaneously.
The alignment plate moves to the A4 or LT size position and stops.
(It stops at the position of -5 steps from the center value of the adjustment range.)
