(3) Select [05 ADJUSTMENT MODE]. Change the values for codes [7056] to [7058], [7061], [7062],
[7249] and [7794] to [7806] to adjust the default value for the sharpness intensity.
• Increasing the sharpness intensity will enhance the edges of the image.
• The smaller the setting value is, the weaker the sharpness intensity becomes. The larger the
setting value is, the stronger the sharpness intensity becomes.
Changing the values for these codes will change the sharpness intensity, when the [Sharpness]
indicator in the [Image] tab on the copy mode is set to the center. Remember that 1 step of the
indicator will increase or decrease the sharpness intensity by 25. If the sharpness intensity of the
center value is changed, each step of the indicator will be changed accordingly. (For instance, if
the center value is increased by “25” (sharper), the value of each step of the indicator will also be
increased by “25” (sharper).)
However, the range of adjustment values that is valid for sharpness level change is from -100 to
+100 of the total of the setting value of the [05] code and that of the indicator. For instance, if the
setting value of the [05] code is “153” (“+25” from the default value), the limit of the steps in the
sharp side of the indicator is “+3”. If the step is set at “+4”, the image quality will not be changed.
