Parity (4-Wire RS485)
Program Communications Communication Settings
This parameter plays a role in the setup of the communications
network by establishing the Parity setting of the RS485 4-Wire
communications link.
The communications network includes other ASDs and Host/
Control computers that monitor the status of the ASD(s), trans-
fers commands, and loads or modifies the parameter settings of
the ASD.
Changes made to this parameter require that the power be
cycled (off then on) for the changes to take effect.
Settings:
0 — No Parity
1 — Even Parity
2 — Odd Parity

Program Communications Communication Options
While using the DeviceNet/Profibus communications protocol,
this parameter allows the user to select the read and write infor-
mation communicated between the ASD and the Host.
Read information may include the ASD fault status, ASD speed,
ASD MAC ID, etc. Write information may include Enable/Disable
DeviceNet commands, Forward run, ACC/DEC command, etc.
