System Testing & Troubleshooting
Condenser Sump Temp
Sensor Failure
Problem: The condenser sump
temperature sensor data is out
of range.
Check: Sensor resistance
should be between 830 ohms
(200 F) and 345.7Kohms (-40
F). If so, check field/unit
wiring between Sensor and
VCM.
The unit is reading a signal
that is out of range for this
input (Temperature < -40F or
Temperature > 200 F).
A compressor lockout is
generated on all circuits and
the Condenser Sump is
drained completely if the
Outdoor Air Temp is below 35F
or failed. The Sump will be
allowed to fill again if the
Outdoor Air Temp rises above
40F.
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs and the sump is
allowed to fill after the
Condenser Sump Temp input
returns to within range for 10
seconds.
Condenser Sump Minimum
level Short Cycle Failure
Problem: The minimum water
level is not being maintained.
The Minimum level input has
opened three times without 60
seconds of continous sump
pump operation.
A compressor lockout is
generated on all circuits.
(PMR) A manual reset is
required anytime after the
Diagnostic set to re-enable
compressor operation. The
Diagnostic can be reset by the
Human Interface or Tracer, or
by cycling power to the RTM.
CO
2
Sensor Failure
Problem: The VCM CO
2
sensor
input signal is out of range.
Check: Check field/unit wiring
between Sensor and VCM.
The unit is reading a signal
that is out of range for the CO
2
Sensor transducer input.
The CO
2
Reset Function is
disabled.
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs after the CO
2
Sensor
transducer input receives a
signal that is within range for
10 continuous seconds.
Dirty Filter
Problem: There is a Dirty
Filter.
The filter switch input on the
RTM is closed for more than 60
seconds continuously.
An Information Only
Diagnostic is set.
(INFO) An automatic reset
occurs after the Dirty Filter
input reopens for 60
continuous seconds.
Dirty Recovery Filter
Problem: Recovery Filter
proving switch is closed.
Check: Status of Recovery
Filters
Recovery Filter proving switch
is closed for more than 60
seconds continuously.
An Information Only
diagnostic is set.
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs after the Recovery
Filter proving switch input
reopens for 60 continuous
seconds.
Economizer DryBulb
SETPOINT Failure
Problem: The input for
Drybulb SETPOINT is out of
range.
Check: Wiring to the GBAS
input designated for Minimum
Outdoor Air Flow SETPOINT or
check BAS/Network interface
card status and wiring.
Economizer DryBulb
SETPOINT is out of range:
Temperature <50 F or
Temperature > 140 F
The active Economizer
DryBulb SETPOINT reverts to
the default Economizer
DryBulb Enable SETPOINT.
(PAR) An automatic reset
occurs after the Economizer
DryBulb Enable SETPOINT
input returns to within range
for 10 continuous seconds, or
after a different, valid
Economizer DryBulb Enable
SETPOINT selection source is
user-defined.
