4.21 INVERTER / CHARGER
Your motorhome is equipped with an inverter/
charger which is capable of supplying 120-volt power
to two branch circuits when the unit is not plugged into
shore power. An Inverter Freedom Remote Control
Panel is mounted at the Electric Control Center on
the wall in the hallway. The LED bar graphs on the
remote control panel show battery voltage and DC
current in both inverter and charger modes. The
inverter also charges the coach batteries when
the unit is plugged into shore power or when the
generator is running. The invert mode and charge
mode must be manually selected using the control
module located in the hallway. Refer to operator's
manual in Owner's Information Package for more

details on operating procedures.
The inverter is located in a compartment at the rear
of the coach, it contains two integral circuit breakers

4.22 Energy Management
System (EMS)
This system prioritizes and distributes the power from
the shoreline or generator provider to the appliances
or other 120 V users. This system disconnects
selected “postpone-able” power draws to eliminate
or minimize the tripping of circuit breakers. The
selected power draws are automatically turned back
on when the higher priority power requirement is
over.
The control box is located on the Electric Control
panel on the wall in the hallway and the monitoring
microprocessor is mounted in the electrical AC
breaker box. No setting or adjusting by operator
is required.
Normally the postpone-able power draws are the
air conditioner(s), washer/dryer and electric water
heater. Each will be shut down as other demands
increase. Refer to the booklet in the Owner's
Control Box
