12.1.1 FRESH WATER TANK FILLING PROCEDUR

The water tank is not a pressure vessel. The
fi lling procedure is done via a water pressure
system. Make sure the vent/overfl ow drain
located underneath the tank area is open,
free and clear of any obstruction before at-
tempting to fi ll the tank. A blocked vent during
fi lling could cause serious damage to the tank
and even the underfl oor structures.
The Empress unit also has a gravity fi ll inlet.
Insert a clean garden hose and fi ll the fresh
water tank
FRESH WATER TANK FILLING
A.To fi ll fresh water tank using the water
pressure system:
1. Connect water hose to the city water
inlet connection.
2. Set pump switch to the off position.
3. Turn systems valve to “Tank Fill” posi-
tion.
4. Open source of water supply valve.
5. Check the Monitor System inside the
motorhome for levels as the tank is fi lling.
When the tank is close to full, check for
overfl ow at the overfl ow drain. Turn the
supply off as soon as water fl ows from
the drain.
6. Turn the systems valve back to normal
after the external supply is turned off.
7. Turn pump switch back to on and the
system is ready to be used.

Never allow a full fl ow at the over-

If you are starting from a dry system
or if some faucets have been open
during the tank fi lling procedure, you
may want to slowly open each faucet
one at a time to allow any trapped air
to escape from the system.
12.1.2 WATER PUMP
The water pump is designed to supply water from
the fresh water tank to the various areas of your
motorhome on demand. With the pump switch in the
'on' position the pump comes on automatically and
pressurizes the various water lines when a faucet
is opened.
The water pump has an inlet screen type fi lter
mounted to the body. If water fl ow in your unit
deteriorates, clean out this screen. (See pump
owners manual for details)

B.To use the gravity fi ll inlet:
1. Insert

inlet.
