The brake pads should be replaced by a
qualified technician when their material
thickness have reached 1 mm or below
or if they have been contaminated by oil
or grease!
The brakes on your Trivel have been
minutely adjusted by a qualified
technician before being handed to you at
the time of purchase.
It is normal, however, for brakes to wear
off with time and their power will fade
out as the brake pads material diminish.
For this reason, and for your safety, it is
necessary to check your brakes before
each ride and adjust them if needed.
Check the brakes function:
Firmly pull the brakes levers. There should
be a gap of at least 1 cm between the
grip and the lever and the vehicle should
not move when pushed back or forth.
If these conditions are not met, do not
use your Trivel before having fixed the
issue! Begin with a basic cable tension
and brake pads position adjustment.
Do not attempt to adjust the brakes
by yourself if you don’t fully
understand this section or if you are
not condent in your mechanical
skills. We strongly recommend that
you only have your brakes adjusted
by a qualied technician. Poorly
adjusted brakes can lead to a loss of
controland result in serious injuries.
