PREOPERATIONAL CHECKS

Before starting the lift truck, be sure to inspect the following items
for safety sake and increased productivity.
CAUTION
If any fault is found by preoperational inspection, attach
a sign in the control area stating DO NOT OPERATE,
remove the starter key and report the condition to the
supervisor. Operation of the truck should be halted until
the truck is completely repaired.
Check for oil leaks. Remember that oil leaks might cause
a re.
Waste uid caused from lubricant change services must
not be thrown away thoughtlessly, because they will be
a cause of air, water, earth pollution.
The service personnel or employer is required to
dispose of it properly.
GENERAL RULES ON INSPECTION
Use UniCarriers’ genuine parts only.
Use UniCarriers’ genuine or recommended lubricants only.
Clean the oil llers and grease ttings using a brush or shop rag
before adding oil or fuel or greasing.
Oil level checks and addition of oil should be made with the
truck parked on a level surface.
Preventive maintenance services should be done in an orderly
manner and due care taken to prevent personal injury.
If unavoidable to work under raised forks or attachment, use a
stable support to prevent the forks or attachment from falling
down unexpectedly.
Any time the operator nds that the truck or the controls are not
functioning properly, operation of the truck should be halted and
the condition reported to the supervisor. Never operate a faulty
truck.
