11. Maintenance
11.1. Maintenance
Maintenance on the D60 shall be periodically performed (every 12-18 months) based on the service agreement and should
be documented. Maintenance should exclusively be performed by qualied personnel. Do not attempt to open the D60
and/or perform maintenance on the D60. When maintenance is due, the D60 will remind the user with the following screen:
If maintenance has not been performed for an extensive amount of time (18 months) the D60 will go out-of-use. The D60
can only be used again after maintenance has been performed. Contact your local distributor for further information.
11.2. Cleaning
The UV Smart D60 is a multiple use device. Clean the internal and external surfaces with a soft cloth and non-aggressive
cleaning agents only. Clean the UV-C lamps wearing gloves and using alcohol wipes and lint free cloth only. Every 48
hours or 50 cycles the D60 reminds the user to clean the device.
The following surfaces should be cleaned:
▪ Handle
▪ Door
▪ Display
▪ Equipment holder
▪ Wire holder
▪ Reective side of the door
▪ Inside of the disinfection area
Only clean the UV-C lamps in case of visible debris.
Thoroughly dry the surfaces and check for visible debris after cleaning. Do not use spray disinfectants into the openings
and the disinfection area of the D60 or at the mains power connection. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents like bleach,
paint thinner, acetone or acids.
11.3. Calibration
The D60 will be calibrated when maintenance is performed according to the service level agreement. Maintenance and
calibration should be carried out exclusively by qualied personnel.
11.4. Yearly validation
The D60 must be periodically validated while using the photo synthetical and physical measurement equipment. The
specially designed validation kit & protocol for validating the D60 is available via your local distributor, please contact your
local distributor for further information. Validation should be carried out exclusively by qualied personnel.
