12. Problem solving
12.1. Problem solving
In case of an occurring problem/error, please refer to the ‘Sounds and lights’-chapter (8) to identify the meaning behind
interface feedback and take corresponding action. When the problem/error is still present, rebooting the D60 may resolve
the problem. To reboot the D60, unplug the power cable from the wall socket, wait for 10 seconds and plug the cable back
into the wall socket. The D60 will indicate the rebooting process by showing the following screen.
Contact your local distributor in case you were not able to resolve the problem.
After a defect, the device can only be used again if it is reconditioned under the responsibility of the manufacturer to
comply with the general safety and performance requirements.
12.2. Out-of-use
The D60 is deactivated when the maintenance interval has expired (after 18 months). In this case the D60 display will
show its out-of-use state. Follow the information on the display or contact your local distributor in case you were not able
to resolve the problem.
12.3. Broken glass
Please follow these steps in case a glass part breaks:
1. Identify which part is broken.
2. Switch o the D60.
3. Close the door manually.
4. In case of broken lamps, transport the D60 to a well-ventilated area.
5. Contact your local distributor.
12.4. Overheating
In case of the D60 overheating, unplug the power cable from the mains power. In case of a re, extinguish it with a re
extinguisher. Call UV Smart or your local distributor to report and resolve any issue.
11.5 Disposal
Dispose the D60 at your local community waste collection / recycling center for electrical and electronic appliances. UV-C
lamps in the D60 contain mercury, manage in accord with disposal laws, see: www.lamprecycle.org. Please contact your
local distributor for further information.
