About Veritas 5340 Appliance storage shelves
Veritas offers two external storage shelf models for the Veritas 5340 Appliance.
These include the:
■ Veritas 5U84 Primary Storage Shelf (required)
■ Veritas 5U84 Expansion Storage Shelf (optional)
Both of the 5U84 Storage Shelf chassis include a set of common internal core
components, along with a set of plug-in modules.
The core components include:
■ Two sliding disk drawers that contain Disk Drive In Carrier (DDIC) modules
■ A front operations panel
■ A front bezel
■ Mid-plane printed circuit boards (PCB) that interface with controllers on the 5U84
Primary Storage Shelf and the 5U84 Expansion Storage Shelf.
In addition to the core components, the storage shelves also incorporate the following
plug-in modules:
