8.4.5 Replacing the VESDA VLI Ultrasonics Manifold
If the detector's event log indicates a faulty flow sub-system, the Ultrasonics Manifold may require
replacement.
The VESDA VLI Ultrasonics Manifold, spare part number VSP-036, is comprised of two components:
l Aspirator Manifold Assembly (Figure 8-36)
l Ultrasonics Manifold Assembly (Figure 8-37)

When replacing the Ultrasonics Manifold, both components should be replaced.
The following procedure details how to replace the Ultrasonics Manifold.
Remove the Ultrasonics Manifold
1. Set the detector to Standby mode.
2. Remove the front cover.
3. Power down the detector by removing the 24V input.
4. Remove the Intelligent Filter (Figure 8-38). Refer to Section 8.4.1 on page 32 for further information.

5. Remove the Aspirator by following the removal procedure in Section 8.4.3.
