Cutting disc
Safety concerning maintenance work on the cutterbar
When working on the cutterbar, the tractor must be stopped and
secured.
This prevents the machine from suddenly starting to rotate.
If the tractor and the PTO shaft have not been connected according to
the instructions serious accidents resulting in torn off limbs can occur.
When working on the cutterbar:
• The tractor engine must be stopped.
• The ignition key must be removed.
• The PTO shaft must be disconnected.
• The tractor hydraulic system should be disconnected.
• The hand brake should be activated.
After 1 hour of use
Thereafter, every day
The cutting discs are checked as follows:
> Open the guards around the machine's cutterbar.
> Undertake an inspection of the state of the cutting discs for
deformation and cracks.
> Use a suitable tool and tighten the cutting disc to a torque of 80
Nm.
> Close the guards around the machine's cutterbar.
