7.1 Installation instructions
● Perform all the operations described on
a clean, flat, level and firm surface.
● Observe installation position – always
ensure that the machine is standing
stably and securely.
● Strictly observe instructions for cable
installation. In particular, fasten all
cables to the handlebar using cable
ties in order to prevent damage to the
machine (e.g. when folding down the
handlebar) or possible malfunctions.
Self-propulsion levers, drive cables
HB 445:
– Black self-propulsion lever on the upper
side of the handlebar.
– One drive cable (forwards).
HB 445 R, HB 560, HB 585, HB 685:

side of the handlebar.
– Red self-propulsion lever on the
underside of the handlebar.
– One drive cable (forwards). The cable is
fitted with a black cap and must be
attached to the black self-propulsion
lever.
– One drive cable (reverse). The cable is
fitted with a red cap and must be
attached to the red self-propulsion
lever.
7.2 Attaching the chassis
● 1 Tilt the basic unit (A) forwards
as shown and support at both
drive shafts using suitable wooden
blocks (1) (height 50 - 60 mm
(width/length approx. 100 mm).
Insert retaining clasp (O) into the two
bores on the left and right of the
adapter (2).
● 2 Insert transport chassis (C) into
adapter (2) and hold.
● 3 Swivel retaining clasp (O) forwards in
direction of arrow and allow it to engage
in the adapter.
Check that retaining clasp (O) is seated
securely in adapter (2).
● 4 Fold down transport chassis (C) to the
stop. Insert locking pin (M) from the left
or right to the stop and secure with
retaining pin (X).
7.3 Installing the brake spur
● Installation position:
see "Attaching the chassis"
(Ö 7.2)
● Insert brake spur (D) as shown, with the
bent section towards the rear, from
below through both bores of
adapter (1).
One of the three bores in the brake spur
must align with the side bores (2) in the
adapter. (Ö 11.5)
● Insert folding retainer (Y) through the
bores and secure by folding up securing
clip (3).
7.4 Assembling the handlebar
● Installation position:
see "Attaching the chassis"
(Ö 7.2)
● 1 Insert hexagon nut (R) into the
recess (1) in the aluminium housing
with the flat face pointing upwards.
● 2 Push handlebar (B) to the stop in
groove (2) of the aluminium housing,
position centrally on the basic unit and
hold.
● 3 Place washer (Q) with the collar
facing downwards in slot (3).
Insert screw (4) of tension lever (N)
through the washer, the bore in the
handlebar and housing. Screw in
tension lever (N) clockwise.
7. Preparing the machine for
operation
Risk of injury!
Observe the safety instructions in
the "For your safety" section. (Ö 4.)
In particular, detach the spark plug
socket and always wear thick
gloves when carrying out any work
on the hoes.
Observe the specified torque.
Only route and attach drive cables
