11.3 Finding cable breaks with 2 transmitters
Switch off the fuse and power down the electrical circuit�
This method makes it possible to locate the error from
two sides� A different signal code is set for each trans-
mitter� The receiver can be used to easily determine the
respective signal direction� The transmitter number is
indicated accordingly�
Advantage: The two search signals will not interfere
with each other�
When you have found the location of the fault, the re-
ceiver will no longer show any signal code, because
both signals have the same strength there�
The cable break must be high-impedance
(>100 kOhm)�
11.4 Finding errors in electric oor heating
Ensure that there is no insulating foil/mat with an earth
connection above the heating wires� If required, discon-
nect this earth connection before measuring, or the
error site will not be easy to locate� The signal should
be fed from both sides� It is more comfortable to use
a second transmitter unit with a different signal code�
