Display illumination
The display can be lit at any time if you are working in a badly lit environment�
To switch on the transmitter (LSG-10B), hold down the button with the light icon (15) for about 2 seconds� Repeat this
for switching it off again� Switch off the display illumination manually when you no longer need it�
Briey press the button with the light icon (8) at the receiver (LSG-10)� Repeat this for switching it off again� Switch off
the display illumination manually when you no longer need it�

Switch on the torch
An LED torch is integrated in the receiver
Press the button with the torch icon (5) for switching it on or off� After approx� 1 minute, the LED lamp goes out auto-
matically to protect the battery

Deactivate acoustic signal at the receiver
In normal operation, the acoustic display is always on� The signal sound can be switched off for quiet areas of use
(e.g. ofces, theatre, etc.). Keep the button with the sound icon (8) pressed for about 2 seconds� The display shows
a crossed-out speaker symbol� For switching it on, hold down the button again for about 2 seconds� The speaker
symbol disappears�

Auto power-off
Transmitter and receiver switch off automatically after a certain time if no button is pressed� This function protects the
battery, saves battery power and extends the service life�
Auto-off time receiver approx� 10 minutes
Auto-off time transmitter: approx� 1 hour
10.4 Setting the signal code
The default setting for the signal code is 1� If you want to use several transmitters in one cable test, the transmitter
code can be changed to a value between 1 and 7�
To set it, proceed as follows:
1� Switch off the transmitter
2� Keep the “LEVEL” (15) button pressed and turn on the transmitter� Then release
the operating button (16)� The pre-determined signal code appears in the dis-
play� Now release the other button�
3� Pressing the button “LEVEL” again will switch one code up each time and then
start again from the beginning�
4� When you have set the desired code, press the operating button (16) shortly
The transmitter returns to the normal operating mode� The selected code is
active and displayed�
