11.13 Increasing sensitivity when measuring under voltage
Measuring under grid voltage! Observe safety provisions�
For the two-pole measuring method under voltage the
search signal of lines close to each other often affects
itself. This is reected in a lower search depth.
To prevent this problem, you can use an additional
power cable for the return (e�g� an extension, cable
drum, etc�)�
The distance between the lines in either direction
should be at least 2 meters. Thus, the electrical eld
can spread sufciently and the auxiliary line does not
inuence the search signal.
Connect the transmitter to a connection at the outlet to
be found�
The second connection can be attached, e�g� to a cable
drum connected to another outlet of the same circuit�
This increases sensitivity greatly�
