Remove the air hoses from the charge
air cooler. Install connecting washer
9998288, sealing washer 9998289 and
new O-rings.

Remove the pressure gauge reduction
valve and check that the gauge read-
ing is “0.” Connect the pressure gauge
to the charge air cooler.

Open the shut-off valve and set the
pressure gauge to 100 kPa (14.5 psi),
using the reduction valve.

Close the shut-off valve. For the
charge air cooler to be serviceable, the
pressure reading must not drop more
than 50 kPa (7 psi) during 30 seconds.

If a leak is found, repeat the test a few
times. Also check pressure gauge
hoses and connections.
