6 Operation
The ABS/EBS Code Reader can be used with one hand. A two-line digital display is located in the top
section with buttons for operating the device in the bottom section.
Key Meaning Explanation
EXIT Exit Exit menu or function
UP Up To access a menu item further up
DOWN Down To access a menu item further down
OK OK Confi rm command or access a submenu
The menu structure is a circumferential menu. When the last menu item is reached by scrolling down or
up, the display jumps back to the fi rst/last menu item.
At the top side there is a connecting cable with a 9-pin D-Sub connector. This connector is compatible
with all diagnostic cables from WABCO currently on the market and enables an easy connection to the
vehicles.
The ABS/EBS Code Reader does not require its own power supply. The power is supplied by the vehicle
to which it is connected.
6.1 Setting the language
The device is supplied with English as the default language. Please carry out the following steps to
change the language:
1. Attach the ABS/EBS Code Reader as described in Chapter "5 Installation", page 8.
2. Select menu item "2) Settings" (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
3. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button.
4. Select the "Language" menu item (using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons).
5. Confi rm by pressing the "OK" button once.
6. Use the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons to select the language you want.
7. Confi rm the desired language by pressing the "OK" button.
The device is set to the language of your choice.
