10.1 Safety instructions for maintenance
WARNING
Warning of hot surfaces!
Crankcases with engine and guide cylinder can heat up after a short time,
which can lead to severe burns if they come into contact with the skin.
► Always allow the machine to cool down completely after use.
► If the cooling phase cannot be maintained (e.g. due to an emer-
gency) - use heat-resistant protective gloves.
NOTICE
Engine damage from operating the engine without an air filter!
If the engine is operated without an air filter, there is a risk of rapid engine
wear.
► Do not operate the engine without an air filter or air filter cover.
NOTICE
Premature tool failure!
Cooling the tool or tool holder with water can cause premature failure.
► Do not cool tools and tool holders with water.

Visual check of all components for damage. ●
Clean the machine:
Ventilation slots.
• Air filter.

Check fuel:
• Fill level of the fuel tank.
• Check fuel tank for leaks.
• Check pipes for leaks.

Check tool insertion and cutting – sharpen,
forge or have replaced, if necessary. *
●
Lubricate the machine. ●
Clean spark plug. Change if necessary. ●
