Cleaning the vortex precleaner
Provided the impeller in the precleaner rotates freely, the separation function is
working and no maintenance is required.
You need only clean the precleaner if the oil is very dirty and dirt may have ac-
cumulated in the precleaner.
1. Unscrew and remove the precleaner.
2. Clean the precleaner in a soapy lather and then rinse with clean water.
The impeller inside the precleaner must rotate freely.
3. Allow the precleaner to dry.
4. Fit the precleaner in position and tighten it.
Fitting the air cleaner
1. Insert the foam air cleaner into the upper air cleaner housing
2. Insert the filter element into the lower air cleaner housing.
Ensure that the seal and sealing ring are present and located in the correct
position.
3. Connect the lower and upper air cleaner housing and close with the retaining
clips.
