7.2.6 Checking the battery acid level
1. Unscrew and remove lateral protection cover on right side.
2. Remove positive terminal cover.
3. Disconnect the negative terminal.
4. Disconnect the positive terminal.
5. Unscrew and remove the screwed nose caps of all cells.
6. Check whether the battery acid level is between the upper and lower mark.
7. If the battery acid level is below the lower mark, replenish with distilled water
until the upper mark is reached.
8. Tighten the screwed nose caps of all cells until hand-tight.
9. Connect the positive terminal.
10. Connect the negative terminal.
11. Fasten positive terminal cover.
12. Position the right-hand protection cover and tighten it.
Note:
Use battery only when the positive terminal cover is fixed.
WARNING
Danger of injuries from corrosive acid.
f Wear safety glasses and acid-proof protective gloves.
