The keypad for this screen has the following functions:
- Menu: Access to the configuration screen.
- Memory: Access to the memory screen.
- Alarm: Activate / Deactivate the alarm.
- Log/RD: Activate / Deactivate data memorisation.
- Enter: Freeze or unfreeze the measurement display. Only active when a probe is
connected. It does not affect memorisation.
- Back: Keep this key pressed for more than 2s for resetting the Max, Min and Avg
fields.
- : Arrows allow you to change from electric to magnetic field and range high
or low (or vice-versa) for supported probes like the WP50.
5.3 Configuration screen
This screen is used to configure different parameters and functions of the SMP. It appears as a
menu. The parameters to be configured are shown on the left and the different options for each
parameter are shown on the right.
The keypad is used to run through menu. The process for changing the value of a parameter is:
- Run through the different parameters using the arrows .
- To change a parameter, press Enter when the cursor is on that parameter. The cursor will
move to the right of the screen where the arrows are used to select the desired option.
- Press Enter again to confirm the option and the cursor will return to the left of the screen
where another parameter can be selected. Some parameters require a special procedure that
is explained below.
- If you wish to leave the options section (right-hand side) without changing the value of the
parameter, simply press Back.
The following parameters can be configured:
• Units: Unit of measurement of the electromagnetic field. Electric field units are: V/m,
kV/m, μW/cm
2
, mW/cm
2
and W/m
2
. Magnetic field unit are uT and T. The % unit
(percent of the exposure limit) will be available for shaped probes.
• Alarm level: Alarm threshold level. The arrows are used to select the figure to be
changed and the arrows are used to change the figure.
