What to do if my Weber Grill burner does not ignite when I push the igniter button?
    • T
      tjonesAug 20, 2025
To resolve ignition issues with your Weber Grill, first, make sure the battery is in good condition, correctly installed, and that any plastic wrapping has been removed. Next, ensure the wires are correctly inserted into the terminals on the ignition box. Finally, check that the burner tube is correctly positioned relative to the igniter electrode. If match lighting is successful, the problem lies in the ignition system. Refer to “MAINTENANCE”.

Why won't my Weber 300 burners ignite or have a small flame?
    • R
      Richard WestAug 22, 2025
If your Weber Grill burners aren't igniting properly, have a small flickering flame, or the barbecue temperature only reaches 250° to 300° in the HI position, the excess flow safety device may have activated. To reset it, turn off all burner control knobs and the cylinder valve. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder. Turn burner control knobs to HI and wait at least 1 minute, then turn them back to OFF. Reconnect the regulator to the cylinder and slowly turn the cylinder valve on. Refer to “IGNITION”.

Why won't my Weber 300 Grill burner light or has a low flame?
    • A
      Anthony WileyAug 25, 2025
A burner might not light or have a low flame for several reasons. First, check if your LPG fuel is low or empty and refill the cylinder if needed. Also, inspect the fuel hose for any bends or kinks and straighten it out. If the outside burner lights with a match, then the issue may be with the ignition system.

What to do if my Weber Grill burner does not ignite when pushing the igniter?
    • W
      watershannahAug 27, 2025
If the burner doesn't ignite when you push the igniter button, first, try match lighting the burners to ensure gas flow. If match lighting works, the problem is with the ignition system. Check if a fresh battery is installed correctly, and remove any plastic wrapping. Make sure the wires are properly connected to the ignition box and that the burner tube is correctly positioned to the igniter electrode.

    • G
      grayeddieAug 28, 2025
If the burner on your Weber Grill does not light, or the flame is low in the HI position: 1. Refill the LP cylinder if the LP fuel is low or empty. 2. Straighten the fuel hose if it is bent or kinked. 3. If you can light the outside burner with a match, then check the ignition system.

Why is the inside of my Weber 300 lid peeling?
    • A
      Andrea AllenAug 29, 2025
The “peeling” inside the lid of your Weber Grill is likely baked-on grease that has turned to carbon and is flaking off, not paint. Clean it thoroughly. Refer to “CLEANING”. This is not a defect.
