If you smell gas:
1. Shut off gas to the appliance.
2. Extinguish any open flames.
3. Open lid.
4. If odor continues, keep away from the
appliance and immediately call your gas
supplier or your fire department.
Leaking gas may cause a fire or explosion
which can cause serious bodily injury,
death, or damage to property.
m WARNING:
1. Do not store or use gasoline or other
flammable liquids or vapors in the
vicinity of this or any other appliance.
2. An LP cylinder not connected for use
shall not be stored in the vicinity of this
or any other appliance.
m WARNING: Follow all leak-check
procedures carefully in this manual prior
to barbecue operation. Do this even if the
barbecue was dealer-assembled.
NOTICE TO INSTALLER: These instructions
must be left with the owner and the owner
should keep them for future use.

      The excess flow safety device may have activated. To reset it, close the LP tank valve and turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position. Open the grill lid. Slowly turn the LP tank valve until it is completely open. Wait several seconds, then ignite your grill. Consult the “MAIN BURNER IGNITION” section for detailed instructions.

      First, check the following: * If match lighting is successful, the issue lies within the ignition system. See “ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM OPERATIONS”. * Confirm the battery is fresh and correctly installed. See “ELECTRONIC IGNITER INSPECTION”. * Ensure wires are correctly inserted into terminals on the ignition box. See “ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM OPERATIONS”. * Remove any plastic wrapping around the new battery, if present.

    Why is the burner flame pattern erratic on my Weber Grill?

      An erratic burner flame pattern, low flame when the burner is on HI, or flames not running the whole length of the burner tube could indicate that the burners are not clean. Clean the burners referring to “MAINTENANCE”.

      Check the following: * Is the LP fuel low or empty? If so, refill the LP cylinder. * Is the fuel hose bent or kinked? If so, straighten the fuel hose.

      Flare-ups can occur due to several reasons: * Ensure you are preheating the barbecue correctly by setting all burners to HI for 10 to 15 minutes. * Check if the cooking grates, heat deflectors, and Flavorizer® bars are heavily coated with burned-on grease; if so, clean them thoroughly. Refer to “CLEANING”. * Verify that the slide-out grease tray is clean, allowing grease to flow into the catch pan. Clean the slide-out grease tray if necessary. CAUTION: Do not line the slide-out grease tray with aluminum foil.
