Service notes
This section is ONLY for user viewing.
Do not disassemble! The device may only be serviced by a qualified
technician in accordance with the service instructions provided by the
manufacturer.
The device should be stored in a room with adequate ventilation, with an area compatible with the area determined for the operation of
the device. Persons performing activities related to or opening the refrigeration circuit should have valid licenses issued by an accredited
supervisory authority which certifies competence in the safe operation of refrigerants in accordance with accepted standards of
competence assessment.
1. Transport of equipment containing flammable refrigerants
Compliance with transport regulations.
2. Device marking
Compliance with applicable regulations.
3. Disposal of equipment containing flammable refrigerants
Compliance with applicable regulations.
4. Storage of devices
The device should be stored in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Storage of packed (unsold) devices
Protecting the stored device in the package should protect it from mechanical damage that could cause refrigerant leakage. The
maximum number of devices that can be stored together is determined by applicable local regulations.
6. Repair information
a. Checking the environment - Before starting work on a system containing flammable refrigerants, a safety check should be carried
out to minimize the risk of ignition. Before starting work related to the repair of the refrigeration system, the following safety
requirements must be met.
b. Work procedures - work should be carried out using control procedures that will help minimize the risk of ignition of flammable
gas or vapors present during the work.
c. Workspace - all persons involved in maintenance and other work carried out nearby should be informed about the scope of work
carried out. Avoid working in confined spaces. The space in which the works are carried out should be fenced off. Ensure safe
conditions by controlling combustible materials.
d. Checking the presence of refrigerant - before starting work and during work, check the work area with a suitable refrigerant gas
sensor so that the technician is aware of the operation in the area at risk of fire. Make sure that the leak detection device is
suitable for the detection of flammable refrigerants, i.e. it does not produce a spark, is adequately protected or intrinsically safe.
e. The presence of a fire extinguisher - if the refrigeration appliance or parts thereof will be subjected to work that requires the use
of very high temperature, appropriate fire-fighting equipment should be placed in the work area. A powder or CO2 extinguisher
should be placed next to the refrigerant charge space.
f. Lack of ignition sources - persons carrying out work related to the refrigeration system, which include the exposure of pipes that
contain or contained flammable refrigerants, may not use sources of ignition in a way that could contribute to the risk of fire or
explosion. All sources of ignition, including smoking, should be placed at an appropriate distance from the place of installation,
repair, removal and disposal of the device, when flammable refrigerant may be released. Before starting work, check the space
around the machine to make sure it is free of factors that could cause fire or ignition. Please put „No smoking” signs.
