      montgomeryjessicaAug 12, 2025
If your WEN Portable Generator runs but produces no electricity, first turn off and unplug any connected devices. Wait 5 minutes, then press the circuit breaker (or reset button). Ensure the total wattage of your devices doesn't exceed the generator's capacity. Check and replace any damaged power or extension cords. Try connecting a different device to rule out issues with the original one.

Why is the engine 'hunting' during operation of my WEN Portable Generator?
    • M
      morgangregoryAug 18, 2025
If your WEN Portable Generator engine is 'hunting' (fluctuating RPM), check that fuel is flowing correctly through the fuel selector switch and that the fuel level is adequate. Inspect the air filter for clogs and clean it if necessary. Also, verify that the muffler or spark arrester isn't blocked, cleaning with a metal brush if needed. Finally, try using a 'gunk remover' spray on the carburetor jets to address potential blockages.

      Garrett JohnsonNov 5, 2025
If your WEN Portable Generator engine won't start, first ensure the fuel selector switch is correctly positioned for the fuel you're using. Next, check that the battery switch is set to ON (1). If using LPG, prime the engine. If the battery is dead, use the recoil start to charge it. Also, make sure the fuel is fresh and the spark plug boot is connected. Clean or replace the spark plug if it's dirty or broken, and ensure your propane tank is turned on. If the carburetor is air locked, set the fuel selector switch to 'PROPANE,' remove the fuel solenoid valve and bolt from the carburetor bottom, remove the carburetor bowl, then reinstall everything. If the onboard propane regulator is stuck, turn off the propane tank, disconnect the hose, and contact WEN customer service. Ensure CO sensor is...
