3.6 Up/Down Operation
1. Install a blade, if needed, and check for correct blade tension. (See Section 3.3).
Set the cutting head to the desired height. (The blade height scale shows the height of the
blade above the bed rails.)
See Figure 3-15. Use the up/down crank to raise or lower the cutting head
2. Pull the crank grip to lock it in the locking pins.
3. To raise the saw head, turn the up/down crank handle clockwise; to lower – turn the crank
handle counterclockwise.
WARNING! DO NOT try to force the carriage above the 27"
(68 cm) mark or below the 1" (2.54 cm) mark. Damage to
