3.9 Install sawhead cover latch and scale
The tools needed are:
Socket, 13mm
Combination wrench, 13mm
Safety equipment, especially gloves, for blade handling
1. Place the latch hook into the top center of the saw head with the fasteners provided. (See FIG. 3-24 .)
2. Slide the scale through the bracket on the mast with the scale facing the operator, as shown in step . (See FIG. 3-25 .)
3. Open and latch the sawhead cover in the open positions.
4. Loosely secure the sawhead with M8-1.25x20 carriage bolts (inserted from the inside of the sawhead, as in the cut-away
view, with washers and nuts on the exterior, as shown in step
. (See FIG. 3-25 .)
5. Slide the anti-vibration blocks onto both sides of the scale, as shown in step . (See FIG. 3-25 .)
