Carrier Card to SOM Standoff Press-fit Process
The carrier card to SOM interface requires a 5 mm (height) mechanical stand-o.
In cases where there is an expectaon that the SOM will be removed from the carrier card, the
recommended soluon is to use the following Samtec JSOM. The Samtec JSOM-0515-01
standos require a press-t process to install them onto the PCB. The JSOM stando press-t
recommended parameters are shown the following table and the press prole is shown in the
following diagram.
