Introduction
The purpose of this design guide is to support hardware, system, and rmware engineers
implemenng a product using a Xilinx
®
Kria™ SOM. The guide outlines electrical, mechanical,
rmware, and power-on conguraon design consideraons that must be addressed as part of
designing a Xilinx SOM compable carrier card. The document is not intended to be self-
contained, meaning that there are references to other Xilinx product documentaon to help the
reader nd more detailed technical informaon available in corresponding technical reference
manuals, soware design guides, and thermal design guides. The Kria K26 SOM is used an
example throughout the guide and is shown in the following block diagram.
