STARTER CLUTCH AND GEARS INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
8 Starter clutch
Push the dowel pin to arrow direction.
Unsmooth operation→Replace starter
clutch assembly.
2. Inspect:
8 Starter wheel gear teeth 1
8 Idle gear teeth 2
Burrs/Chips/Roughness/Wear→Replace.
3. Inspect:
8 Starter clutch operation

Clutch operation checking steps:
8 Install the starter wheel gear to the starter
clutch, and hold the starter clutch.
8 When turning the wheel gear clockwise A
the starter clutch and the wheel gear should
be engaged.
If not the starter clutch is faulty. Replace it.
8 When turning the wheel gear counter clock-
wise B, the wheel gear should turn freely. If
not, the starter clutch is faulty. Replace it.
