unit.Follow the instructionscarefully.
Changing Engine Oil
NOTE:Dependingontheenginemodelfoundon your
tractor,itmaybenecessaryto removethetractor'sside
panelin orderto replacethe oilfilter(if so equipped).
Fordrainingoilfromtheengine'scrankcaseofselect
modeltractors,a plasticoildrainsleeveispackedwith
thisOperator'sManual.Todrainthe oil, proceedas
follows:
1. Unscrewthe oilfill capand removethedipstickfrom
theoil fill tube.
2. Snapthesmallendof oildrainsleeveontotheoil
sump.SeeFigure20.
3. Removedrainpluganddrainoil intoa suitable
containerwitha capacityof no lessthan64oz.
4. Servicetheoilfilter (if soequipped)as instructedin
theseparateEngineOperator/OwnerManualpacked
withyourunit.
Performtheabovestepsinthe oppositeorderafteroil has
finisheddraining.
5. Refilltheenginewith newmotoroil as instructedinthe
EngineOperator/OwnerManualpackedwithyourunit.
IMPORTANT:Refertothe EngineOperator/Owner
Manualpackedwithyourunit for informationregardingthe
quantityandproperweightofmotoroil.
Air Cleaner
Servicethepre-cleaner,ifsoequipped,andcartridge/air
cleanerelementas instructedin the EngineOperator/
OwnerManualpackedwithyour unit.
Spark Plug(s)
Thesparkplug(s)shouldbecleanedand thegap reset
oncea season.Sparkplugreplacementisrecommended
atthestartofeachmowingseason.Referto theEngine
Operator/OwnerManualfor correctplugtypeandgap
specifications.
Lubrication

Pivot Points & Linkage
Lubricateall the pivotpointsonthe drivesystem,parking
brakeand lift linkageat leastoncea seasonwithlightoil.
Rear Wheels
Therearwheelsshouldbe removedfromthe axlesonce
a season.Lubricatethe axlesandthe rimswell withan
all-purposegreasebeforere-installingthem.
Front Axles
Eachendofthetractor'sfrontpivotbarmaybeequipped
witha greasefitting.Lubricatewitha greasegunafter
every25 hoursof tractoroperation.
Cleaning the Engine And Deck
Anyfueloroil spilledonthe machineshouldbe wiped
off promptly.Do NOTallowdebristo accumulatearound
thecoolingfinsoftheengineor onany otherpart of the
machine.
IMPORTANT:Theuseofa pressurewasherto cleanyour
tractorisNOTrecommended.It maycausedamageto
electricalcomponents,spindles,pulleys,bearingsor the
engine.
