4. Use / to select the type of connected device and press to confirm.
This activates the USB mic function. The Home Screen will be shown and the USB mic function will be
in use.
Setting Explanation
PC/Mac Connect with a computer and operate on bus power.
Mobile Device Connect with a smartphone or tablet and operate on battery power.
NOTE
• When “PC/Mac” is selected, power is supplied through the USB cable from the computer. Depending on
the USB bus power supply capacity of the computer, operation using bus power might not be possible. If
this is the case, select “Mobile Device” to operate using batteries.
• When “Mobile Device” is selected, power will not be supplied from the other device. Instead, the
H1essential will operate using the batteries in it.
• When used as a USB mic, it functions at 48kHz/24-bit fixed resolution.
• Files cannot be played when the USB mic function is in use.
5. Use a USB (Type-C) cable to connect the H1essential with a computer, smartphone or tablet.
