6.1 MAC Filter
Overview
Filtering means sifting traffic going through the Switch based on the source and/or
destination MAC addresses and VLAN group (ID).
Scenario,
Note, in this scenario Client A has been configured witch MAC filtering an action
of discard destination, it means that it drop the frames to the destination MAC
address (specified in the MAC address). The Switch can still receive frames
originating from the MAC address.
