Operation on an alarm system with event transmission and moni-
toring
When a phone is operated on an alarm system with event transmission and monitor-
ing, a separate alarm message is sent to the alarm system for each type of alarm trig-
ger:
Manual trigger using the SOS key
Automatic trigger with man-down alarm
Automatic trigger with no-movement alarm
Automatic trigger with escape alarm
Combined automatic trigger with man-down and no-movement alarm
This means that, depending on the type of trigger, the alarm server is able to respond
differently to the alarms it receives.
You can trigger a test alarm to check the alarm function (see chapter "Testing the
alarm function", page 123). The phone also triggers an alarm if the battery power
drops below a certain value (see chapter "Battery alarm", page 123).
By configuring an alarm server you have the following possibilities at your disposal:
Send alarm texts to a phone
Specify the type of alarm ring tone on the phone
Override the set ring tone on the phone (server alarm) including Vibra call and Sup-
press ring tone.
Cancel a call connection then trigger an alarm.
Display softkeys on the phone and respond to user inputs.
Delete alarms on a phone.
Configure the Call Key with a function (see chapter "Configuring keys", page 102).
Receive a message if the phone is placed in or removed from the charging unit.
Determine the phones approximate location using measured values from various
radio units.
These configurations can only be made by your system administrator.
Call predialling during an alarm:
Your system administrator can store special alarm response possibilities under your
Call Key (e.g. call a number or execute a function code). As soon as an alarm reaches
your phone, you can answer it by pressing the Call Key. To make a normal call, you can
temporarily deactivate the function using the Correction key. Contact your system
administrator for more information.
