By default, the phone is set to connect calls to the loudspeaker. If you
are using a headset, you can switch to the headset preset mode to have
calls connected to the headset instead.
Note: When you lift the handset, the call is always connected to the
handset, regardless of the type of preset setting. Activation and
deactivation of Headset Preset can only be done when the
phone is in idle mode.
Note: When headset preset mode is used and when automatic answer
is used, it is possible to announce a new call by a special tone in
the headset.
2.12 Option Unit
It is possible to install an option unit in the phone. The option unit, which
is built into the foot console, provides the phone with a gigabit Ethernet
interface and an extra bell and busy signal.
Answer a call Press .
Make a call Press and dial the desired number. In
headset preset mode, you are not required
to press the headset key.

Lift the handset.
Switch from handset
to headset
Press and replace the handset.
Clear a call
Press the Clear softkey or .
Change volume
Press to change the volume.
The new volume setting is stored.
Activate Headset Preset Press and hold for at least 4 seconds.
A short acknowledgement signal is heard.
