Connecting to a drive with an Assistant control panel for the first
time
To establish a connection between Drive composer and drive, connect a USB type A
(PC) type mini B (panel) cable to the USB port of the computer and the USB port of
the Assistant control panel (ACS-AP-x panel). The maximum length of the USB cable
should be three meters.
Note: If the drive is used without an Assistant control panel or with a Basic control
panel, use separate USB/485 adapter to establish connection between Drive
composer and drive.
1. Connect your PC to the Assistant control panel with a USB cable.
The "USB connected" message appears on the control panel screen.
Note: You cannot use the Assistant control panel when it is connected to the PC.
2. Double click Drive composer entry/pro.exe to launch Drive composer.
3. Click Connect if you want to connect to the drive or click Demo if you want to
choose the Offline mode.
