Draining, axis 1 gearbox
Use this procedure to drain the gearbox of oil.
The oil must be sucked out from the gearbox. It is recommended to use a pneumatic
oil dispenser to drain oil from the gearbox.

DANGER
Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
• air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot
working area.

WARNING
Handling gearbox oil involves several safety
risks, see Gearbox lubricants (oil or grease)
on page 36.

CAUTION
The gearbox can contain an excess of
pressure that can be hazardous. Open the
oil plug carefully in order to let out the ex-
cess pressure.

Valid for IRB 2600-20/1.65 type C, IRB
2600-12/1.65 type C:
Remove the protective cap from the oil
nipple and connect the oil dispenser.
