Burn Hazards
The analyzer is designed to receive high-temperature gas up to 105 °C at the inlet gas bulkhead. The ICOS
Module is heated, and its internal temperature is maintained during normal operations. If controller malfunction or
temperature over-run occurs, the ICOS Module heaters may reach approximately 90 °C. The temperature set-
point of the ICOS Module depends on the measured gas species. Burn hazard labels are located near the inlet
gas bulkhead (as applicable) and the ICOS Module to help identify burn hazards inside the analyzer.
WARNING!
Allow the system to cool down before performing any maintenance work.
Burn hazards may be present during replacement or service of the ICOS
heaters, filters, thermocouples, and solenoid valves.
