Disposal
Reader, Sensor, USB Cable, and Power Adapter:
These devices must not be disposed of via municipal waste collection.
Separate collection for electrical and electronic equipment waste per
Directive 2012/19/EU in the European Union is required. Contact the
manufacturer for details. As Readers and Sensors may have been exposed
to bodily uids, you may wipe prior to disposing, such as by using a cloth
dampened with a mixture of one part household bleach and nine parts
water.
Note: Readers and Sensors contain non-removable batteries and must not
be incinerated. Batteries may explode upon incineration.
Sensor Applicator:
Please consult your local waste management authority for instructions on
how to dispose Sensor Applicators at a designated sharps collection site.
Ensure the cap is on the Sensor Applicator as it contains a needle.
