4. Twist off the lancet’s protective
cover.
5. Slide the AST cap on until it
stops by aligning the notch on
the cap with the line on the
lancing device. The cap snaps
into place.
6. Twist the cap to set the depth
appropriate for your testing
site.

We suggest starting at a depth setting of 3 for palm testing. Once you perform a successful test, you may
want to nd the lowest depth setting that provides enough blood with the least amount of pain.
