    Why is my AcuRite Weather Station forecast inaccurate?

      Weather conditions need to be established for the next 30 to 45 days for accurate forecasting. Allow the unit to collect conditions; erroneous forecasts will normalize as it calibrates. For continuous learning, resetting the weather station will shorten Earning Mode. After 14 days, forecasts should be fairly accurate; however, superior Earning Mode calibrations occur for a month.

      Make sure the outdoor sensor is placed away from sources of heat or moisture, such as direct sunlight, extreme heat sources, or vents (see page 13).

      Relocate the display unit. Ensure the display unit is placed away from items that cause interference (see page 14).

      Make sure the A-B-C switch matches the display unit and sensor. The unit must be within 330 ft of each other, but at least 3 ft away from electronics that may cause interference such as TVs, microwaves, computers, etc. Make sure the unit is at least 3 ft away from electronics. Some metal materials may interfere with wireless communication.

      Verify that the power adapter is plugged into the display unit and an electrical outlet.

      Ensure the outdoor temperature and/or humidity sensor is within 330 feet of the display unit. Bring the units close together indoors to ensure a strong connection. Replace the display unit or sensor batteries. Make sure the display unit or sensor batteries are installed correctly. Let the unit sit within a couple feet of each other for a few minutes to gain a strong connection.
