The PDF-3000 is designed to specifically control and read Pioneer's 100 Disc CD Changers, the
PD-F100 and PDF-107. The PDF-3000 has eight address settings which correspond to the eight
available source addresses on the Delta-88. Therefore, as many as eight PD-F100/PDF-3000's
CD player packages can be included on any one system. It is essential, that when installing the
PDF-3000, its DIP switches are set correctly and that the Delta-88 is programmed properly to
control the PDF-3000's specific DIP switch settings. The following are PDF-3000 DIP Switch
settings and corresponding Delta-88 source addresses.
PDF-3000 = DIP #1 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 1"
PDF-3000 = DIP #2 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 2"
PDF-3000 = DIP #3 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 3"
PDF-3000 = DIP #4 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 4"
PDF-3000 = DIP #5 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 5"
PDF-3000 = DIP #6 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 6"
PDF-3000 = DIP #7 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 7"
PDF-3000 = DIP #8 ON, all others OFF Delta-88 Source Address = "SPECIAL CD 8"
Since you may be installing the PDF-3000 behind
the equipment rack prior to installing the system
mainframe, it will be important to note the DIP
switch address setting on the PDF-3000 so that you
can immediately program the Delta-88 correctly
without having to dig-out the PDF-3000 to confirm
the address. To change the Delta-88 source ad-
dress, see the Installation Section of this manual,
"Special Source Controllers".
