Video Option 5 - Independent mini video systems specific to certain rooms.
In some cases, a home may include more than the fifteen sources. To this end the VS-3 has
several additional address settings (with corresponding PCT-8 addresses). Therefore, it is
possible to have one VS-3 assigned to a specific set of video sources and specific set of rooms
while a second VS-3 (or more than one) would switch an entirely different set of video sources
to a different grouping of rooms. The wiring would be identical to Video Option 1 with the
second video mini-bus and its sources connected in the same manner as the first video mini-
bus to the main WH-3000 Wire Harness (connected to the Delta-88). While first video mini-bus
would have its VS-3 address set to "00" and its PCT-8 set to "03", the second video mini-bus
would have its VS-3 address set to "01" and its PCT-8 set to "04". Additional video mini-busses
could be added using the following address:
VS-3 Address "02" - PCT-8 Address "05"
VS-3 Address "03" - PCT-8 Address "06"
VS-3 Address "04" - PCT-8 Address "07"
VS-3 Address "05" - PCT-8 Address "08"
VS-3 Address "06" - PCT-8 Address "09"
VS-3 Address "07" - PCT-8 Address "10"
Again, several VS-3's can be setup to control the same bank of video sources using the mini-
bus networking details as described in Video Option 4. Please note, that when incorporating
more than two Delta-88s, separate considerations need to be maintained for system bus
isolation. These are discussed in upcoming sections.
