19.4 Transporting luggage
WARNING
Risk of accident and injury!
Improper transport of luggage on/to the e-bike endan-
gers road safety. There is an increased risk of accidents
and injuries.
f Do not attach any luggage to the handlebars, except
for approved and suitable handlebar bags.
NOTE
Risk of damage!
Incorrect use of luggage racks can cause damage to
e-bike components.
f Observe the information on the maximum load capa-
city of the luggage carrier and the maximum permis-
sible total weight for your e-bike.
f Do not use the luggage carrier with an unsuitable
e-bike.
19.4.1 Using the luggage rack
WARNING
Risk of accident and injury!
Incorrectly loaded luggage racks endanger road safety.
There is an increased risk of accidents and injuries.
f Secure luggage on the carrier to prevent it from slip-
ping/falling off. Only use undamaged tensioning
straps or similar aids for this purpose.
f Align the centre of gravity of the luggage on the lug-
gage carrier.
f Only use suitable pannier bags from specialist retai-
lers.
f Bear in mind that the driving characteristics of the
e-bike may change due to the additional weight.
CAUTION
Risk of injury!
When securing/unsecuring the load, there is a risk of
injury from clamping brackets or tensioning straps sprin-
ging back.
f Do not abruptly release the clamping brackets and
tensioning straps, but carefully guide them into a
relaxed position/length.
