POST LEDs
Before the BIOS performs each system test, it writes a check-
point code to I/O address 80H. If the test fails, the code will stay
in memory. You can read the code and determine which test has
failed.
The PCA-6145B/PCA-6145Ls POST LED indicators make this
process extremely easy. You don’t need any special diagnostic
tools, you just read the POST code from the LEDs.
The table below shows how to read the LEDs, a series of eight
LEDs located in the top left-hand corner of the board.
