3-3. Basic Operating Procedure
This section explains how to use each function of the TR5820 series. Check
the model name before operation. For convenience, the TR5823 is used in
illustrations.

(7) POWER ON starts the self-diagnostics function which checks the micro
processor, two LSIs, and existence of the reference signals. When no
error is found, all segments and indicator lamps (except the GATE lamp
and decimal point) go on (about 2 seconds) for checking. Then, this
unit is initialized to:
